Now that he’s been officially drafted by the San Antonio Spurs, NBA fans all over the world are awaiting the debut of Victor Wembanyama.

While they will have to be patient for a few more months to see him in his first regular season game, fans will get to witness the French phenom play in a Summer League game in just a few days.

According to Marc Stein, via Legion Hoops, Wembanyama is going to make his Summer League debut on Friday versus Brandon Miller and his Charlotte Hornets.

The first Summer League performance from Wembanyama is going to be must-see TV for all NBA fanatics.

For more than a year now, people have been learning more and more about the young talent – and they are ready to finally see him play against other NBA players.

While fun to watch, the Summer League isn’t typically full of the same sort of energy that we witness during the regular season.

Still, watching Wembanyama in any capacity will be exciting.

He will be honing his skills and preparing himself for the fall when he will be playing against the biggest names in the game.

For the first few months of the regular season, you can expect the NBA to broadcast Wembanyama’s first games against Kevin Durant or LeBron James or Giannis Antetokounmpo, and others.

It’s not often that a player like Wembanyama comes along and the league is going to advertise and celebrate him often.

It’ll be interesting to see just how much Wembanyama plays on Friday.

Usually, rookie players are on the court for the majority of the game.

Then again, Wembanyama isn’t a regular rookie so he may get more rest.
