The main issue this season for the St. Louis Cardinals has been their pitching, or lack thereof.
Things got even worse on Tuesday when Adam Wainwright allowed four earned runs and watched his ERA skyrocket to 7.66.
He has since been placed on the injured list, which is yet another major hit for their pitching depth.
The starting rotation and bullpen alike have been horrendous for St. Louis and have them at 35-50 on the season.
They are also 10.5 games back in the Wild Card race and 11.5 back in the NL Central.
On Twitter, a Cardinals fan posted some very distressing numbers, which show how poorly the pitching staff has performed.

The Cardinals pitching staff owns a 4.63 ERA on the season.
That is 25th in all of baseball.
They also have allowed the sixth-most hits of any team in baseball.
In addition, they own a 1.48 WHIP, which is 27th in the league while opponents have a .275 average against them.
As a result, the Cardinals are down near the bottom of the National League and are at risk of finishing below .500 for the first time since 2007.
The rotation and bullpen were clear weaknesses heading into the offseason.
However, aside from minuscule depth moves, their only move was re-signing the embattled Wainwright to a $17.5 million contract.
Starters such as Nathan Eovaldi, Chris Bassitt, Tyler Anderson, and Michael Wacha were all available in free agency, as was Justin Verlander.
However, they were all passed up, with President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak stating that the team already had six starters.
