Drivers in Arizona can now add a little shock rock to their license plates thanks to an official new design featuring Alice Cooper’s likeness.
That’s right, the OG shock rocker is on one of five new professional license plates issued by the state of Arizona, with a portion of the cost going to charity.As far as Cooper’s plates are concerned, proceeds favor the music icon’s Solid Rock Teen Center.
“Arizona is known for beautiful sunsets, cacti, the best Mexican food, monsoons and now Alice Cooper’s signature license plate,” Cooper himself said in a statement. Press release From the Arizona Department of Transportation. “More importantly, this featured board will assist the Solid Rock Youth Center in providing free music, art and dance programming to all Arizona youth. We hope that many of my Arizona neighbors will be able to get this special for their cars and motorcycles license to support Arizona youth.”
Professional license plates cost $25, of which $17 goes to a designated charity. Over the past year, professional license plates have helped the state of Arizona raise $12 million for charity.
