There has never been more talent in the NBA than nowadays.

Old school fans might argue that basketball was purer or tougher back in the day, and they might be right, but from a talent standpoint, there’s simply no way to compare those days with today’s hoops.

Even NBA players have a tough time deciding who’s the best in the league or who might be next in line to dominate.

When recently asked about it, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum chose himself, Jaylen Brown, Luka Doncic, and Donovan Mitchell as the next faces of the league, but he did admit that there are so many good players and the league is so competitive (via Ball Don’t Lie).

Tatum says that the older guys like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant are still going strong, whereas other players who are slightly older than him, like Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic, are also right on top.

Tatum knows firsthand how difficult it is to go the distance in this league, reaching the NBA Finals with the Boston Celtics just two seasons ago.

He handles himself like a veteran, but he hasn’t been around for as long as other players, and the best part about him is that he has yet to scratch the surface of his potential.

Just like he said, the league is currently in great hands and that’s not going to change in the foreseeable future, and it’ll be beautiful to watch so many young players and their rise to stardom.
