With training camps for all 32 teams in the NFL well underway and the start of the 2023 season right around the corner, teams and star players around the league start to get ranked and evaluated by many different websites and media members.

Although many of these annual rankings can and almost certainly will differ in certain areas, the consensus among most is that Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is still the best quarterback in the league, and it’s not even close when considering the competition for the distinction.

Even though there are plenty of superstar quarterbacks in the league that are working their way up the ranks, like Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts, Mahomes remains atop the list of elite quarterbacks in the NFL, and that doesn’t appear to be changing ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Mike Sando of The Athletic recently made an appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd to explain his reasoning for Mahomes being in a tier of his own when it comes to the top quarterbacks in the league today.

Until Burrow, Allen, and Herbert start winning multiple Super Bowl titles, this doesn’t even seem to be much of a debate that Mahomes is the best player at the league’s most important position.

Although Mahomes dealt with some injury issues last season and played through them, he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down and seems hungrier than ever to keep winning football games and adding Vince Lombardi trophies to his trophy case in Kansas.City.,
