Sean Payton Has Blunt Response To Aaron Rodgers’ Comments

Over the past few days, Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets has made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t happy about the critical comments made by the new Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton about new Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

Hackett became close with Rodgers during their short time together on the Green Bay Packers, and that relationship ultimately led to him getting the head coaching job with the Broncos last season, as Denver was trying to lure Rodgers to the team, with the consensus being that he wanted out of Green Bay.

Ultimately, that didn’t happen as the Broncos had to go with Plan B, which was trading for Russell Wilson to be the new face of the franchise, and that hasn’t worked out so well up to this point.

The Broncos turned out to be a disaster with Wilson under center and Hackett calling the shots, and Payton blames Hackett for this going wrong, which Rodgers took exception to.

However, even though Rodgers still seems to hold a grudge, Payton claims he’s passed it, according to James Palmer of NFL Network.

Although Payton claims to be passed this issue right now, this will continue to follow him and the Broncos until they host the Jets on October 8th during the 2023 campaign.

The media will continue to push this story while likely adding to it with other perspectives in order to hype up the game in the Mile High City in a little over two months.

In the meantime, Payton will try to right the ship in Denver, and Rodgers will do everything within his power to get his team ready for the start of the season.
