The Miami Heat’s journey for another championship fell just short during the 2022-2023 season.
While this wasn’t the result that the team was hoping for, they have turned their attention forward with high hopes for the upcoming year.
The season doesn’t start for over two months, but a recent clip shared via Legion Hoops shows that Jimmy Butler is already hard at work.

They asked the question, “Will the Heat return to the NBA Finals?”
Butler has established himself as the leader of this team, and even though they suffered significant injuries last season, they made a valiant run to the title series.
However, the Denver Nuggets proved to be too difficult of a matchup for them, losing in five games.
Looking forward to what the next season could look like, Butler and the Heat might be joined by an elite guard.
There has been growing speculation that Damian Lillard could be traded to the Heat, given his current unhappiness with the Portland Trail Blazers.
If the Heat do trade for Lillard, it can’t hurt their chances of another NBA Finals berth.
Despite the enticing prospect of adding Lillard to their roster, a trade has to make sense for both sides.
The Trail Blazers will want a significant return for Lillard, one of the top players in the league.
As for the Heat, they won’t want to give too much away to mortgage their future.
For now, considering Lillard is still on the Trail Blazers, it’s business as usual, as evidenced by Butler’s hard work in the gym.
