The Golden State Warriors are on the brink of elimination in the NBA playoffs, with the Los Angeles Lakers winning three out of the first four games of their second-round series, leading to everything being on the line for the defending NBA champions in Game 5.

With the season on the line for the Warriors heading into Game 5 at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Wednesday night, the end-of-an-era talk has begun, with some debating whether the Golden State dynasty is over if the Lakers win the series.

One of the pundits that believe the Warriors will lose this series with the Lakers and, as a result, their dynasty is over is none other than Nick Wright of Fox Sports via First Things First.

This take from Wright comes as no surprise, as it is his job to come up with hot takes like this daily, which is no easy task, but it might be too early.

A case can be made that the Warriors dynasty is over because there could be some drastic changes in the summer, like Draymond Green potentially opting out to sign elsewhere and general manager Bob Myers potentially seeking greener pastures as a free agent.

Those two moves alone are dynasty-ending moves for the Warriors, as arguably one of the best general managers in the game, leaving would be devastating while Green is irreplaceable even though he’s not the same player he once was.

The offseason will determine whether this dynasty is over and not the end of this series, which may inevitably send Golden State home.
