A mugger wearing in an “I Love NY” T-shirt repeatedly slashed a man in the face and chest after stealing his wallet in Brooklyn, cops say.

The NYPD is asking the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who attacked his 40-year-old victim around 5:30 p.m. July 10 near Fulton Street and Bedford Avenue in Bed-Stuy.

The slasher was last seen running from the scene in black tennis shoes, black shorts, a blue baseball cap — and a gray T-shirt with the iconic logo.

The attacked man told cops the suspect demanded money from him before “forcefully removing the victim’s wallet,” the NYPD said.

The mugger then “slashed the victim multiple times about the face and chest” before running into the Nostrand Avenue subway station, police said.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital Center in serious but stable condition.

Felony and misdemeanor assault are up 5.3% and 4.8%, respectively, in the city so far this year compared to the same period in 2022, according to statistics released by the NYPD.
