James Harden’s future with the Philadelphia 76ers has been one of the biggest talking points of this summer.

The 10x NBA All-Star demanded a trade from the organization and hopes to join the Los Angeles Clippers ahead of the 2023-24 season.

While Harden recently turned 34 years old, he’s still one of the best players in the NBA.

In fact, he led the league in assists last season and also averaged 21 points per game.

Despite Harden’s antics, NBA analyst Shams Charania recently reported, via NBA Retweet on Twitter, that the Clippers are trying to trade for future draft picks in hopes of acquiring the veteran guard.

Previously, the trade talks between the Clippers and 76ers were halted due to the latter’s asking price being too much.

However, it seems like the Clippers are going all-in to acquire Harden.

They hope to pair Harden with the trio of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook.

The organization evidently wants to advance to the NBA Finals and ultimately win the first ring in franchise history.

Last season, the Clippers finished with a 44-38 record as they clinched the fifth seed in the Western Conference.

But the Clippers’ postseason run finished in the opening round itself after getting eliminated in five games against the Phoenix Suns.

Could James Harden be the final piece to the puzzle that leads to the Clippers becoming the champions of the NBA?
