The Miami Dolphins made a substantial investment in their defense this offseason by signing Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey was slated to be the cornerstone of their defense but suffered a knee injury during training camp.

His rehab is going much better than expected, and according to Cameron Wolfe, he is slated to return to practice.

As Wolfe points out, this opens Ramsey’s 21-day window to return from Injured Reserve.

While it doesn’t look like he will play in the Dolphins’ upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles, this is a step in the right direction for Ramsey for the rest of the season.

If he can return in three weeks, he will be available for the Dolphins’ game in Germany against the Kansas City Chiefs.

This would be a crucial time for Ramsey to get back on the field, especially given the Dolphins’ current standing in the AFC.

The Dolphins and Chiefs both sit atop the AFC with identical 5-1 records.

If their records stay tied heading into their Germany game, any advantage will be crucial for either side of this battle.

Having Ramsey on the field would help the Dolphins’ defense shut down the Chiefs’ skill position players, namely, Travis Kelce.

Kelce has been a thorn in the side of defenses due to his connection with Patrick Mahomes.

Shutting him down goes a long way in shutting down the Chiefs’ passing attack given their lack of dominant receivers.

Dolphins fans are now rejoicing due to Ramsey coming back to practice.

When will he make his season debut?
