The Philadelphia Phillies have all their focus on the postseason and trying to find a way to win the World Series.
They have put themselves in a great position to do so with a 2-0 series lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLCS.
With all the focus shifted to the postseason, not many people have time for regular-season accolades.
Yet, it is still important to recognize when a player is nominated for an award.
According to the Phillies, second baseman Bryson Stott has been named a Gold Glove finalist.
This is the first time in his career he has been up for this honor.

When looking at the Phillies, you do not see a great defensive team.
But, Stott is one player that has stood out for his glove.
He was drafted to be the Phillies’ shortstop of the future back in 2019.
But, he has since shifted to second base due to the offseason signing of Trea Turner.
Stott has turned into an elite defender at second base.
According to Fielding Bible, Stott is eighth amongst second basemen in defensive runs saved with six.
It seems like Stott has found a new home at second base and one that will help the Phillies win a lot of games.
The 26-year-old has been one of the biggest breakouts in baseball this year.
He raised his batting average from .234 to .280 and recorded 160 hits on the season.
Stott has entered the conversation as one of the best contact hitters in the National League.
His emergence has been massive for Philadelphia.
The Phillies will continue to count on Stott as they march through the playoffs.
