The Boston Celtics are undeniably one of the best teams in the NBA right now and they possibly got even better this summer with the additions of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis.

They’re great, but they aren’t perfect, according to NBA insider Chris Mannix.

Mannix appeared on “The Rich Eisen Show” and talked about his concern with the team’s current lineup.

“What worries me about the Celtics is the frontline,” Mannix said.

He said that both Al Horford and Porzingis can be incredibly productive and talented big men but “[the Celtics] don’t have anything behind those guys right now.”

Mannix isn’t alone in this worry: there are many Boston fans concerned that injuries to Horford and Porzingis could spell certain doom for the team.

The roster certainly has a lot of talent all over, and the backcourt is now shockingly good with Derrick White, Holiday, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown.

But when it comes to the team’s center, the Celtics are putting a lot of faith and responsibility on two players who are known to get injured often.

Horford is now 37 years old and no stranger to injuries.

As for Porzingis, he is also someone who has sat out of many games because of various physical ailments.

If both of these players experience a nasty injury at the same time, the Celtics will have no one to turn to.

Mannix believes that just one more move is needed to really fill out this lineup and give the Celtics the best chance of winning another championship.

They have made multiple improvements recently but he thinks they aren’t where they need to be just yet.
