Nick Bosa Shares His Thoughts On 49ers’ Struggles Against Vikings

The San Francisco 49ers lost to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football, a surprising result given pre-game predictions.

The 49ers headed into this game as having one of the NFL’s best defenses, which was exposed by the Vikings’ offense.

Kirk Cousins had a massive performance, which has now gotten significant praise.

Among the people giving Cousins props was Nick Bosa, who talked about Cousins’ performance in a postgame interview via 95.7 “The Game.”

“Every single week it’s the NFL, and if one guy is off, they’re going to make a play and Kirk Cousins is a really good quarterback,” Bosa said.

For as complementary as Bosa was about Cousins, he also recognized that the 49ers’ defense fell flat in a few areas.

Their secondary was torched throughout the game, as Cousins threw for nearly 400 yards.

The Vikings’ rushing attack also added 74 yards on the ground, a high metric against the 49ers’ staunch defensive line.

As Bosa indicated, in the NFL, sometimes all it takes is one player to make a massive difference on either side of the ball.

A slight misstep here or there on defense can mean the difference between a win and a loss.

The 49ers’ offense was also held to 17 points, tied for their lowest team total of the season.

With a smaller cushion than normal in mind, their defense could not keep up.

Now, Bosa and the 49ers must go back to the drawing board to get back on track against the Cincinnati Bengals next week.
