The Arizona Diamondbacks were not supposed to make it to the World Series.
Looking at the landscape of the National League, the Diamondbacks were not considered to be contenders in spring training.
But in baseball, it is not about what team is the best but rather what team is the hottest that can make a run.
From the start of the playoffs until now, the Diamondbacks have been the hottest team in the NL.
Anyone who considered betting on the Diamondbacks in spring training surely had to think they would lose money.
Yet, one bettor is four wins away from being a rich person.
According to Jomboy Media, one person placed $500 on the Diamondbacks to win the World Series on March 30.
They are set to win $90,500 if Arizona can finish the job.

It is astonishing to see someone place that much money on the Diamondbacks.
It just seemed like they had no chance to be playing in the Fall Classic back in March.
Most people did not even think the Diamondbacks had a chance to win it all even once they made the playoffs.
It has been a storybook run for a team that no one saw coming.
This will be their first World Series appearance since the 2001 season.
As they have been all postseason, the Diamondbacks are underdogs against the Texas Rangers.
But, that has been a title they have flourished with in October so there is no reason to stop now.
