On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles will play host to the division-rival Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field in what will be arguably the most anticipated game of the weekend, as bragging rights and the distinction as the league’s best team will potentially be on the line.

Even though the Eagles have a league-best record of 7-1 coming into this game and appear to be the best team in the NFC right now, all the pressure in Sunday’s game will be on Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, as the team needs to make up for the awful performance they put together against the San Francisco 49ers a few weeks ago.

This will be a statement game for both teams, with the Eagles clearly separately themselves from the pack with a win and the Cowboys proving they need more credit for being a legitimate title contender if they can get the win on the road in hostile territory.

Although there will be plenty of storylines going into this game between NFC heavyweights, Prescott may have the most to prove, according to former NFL player James Jones via “Speak” on FS1.

Jones is right on the money with his assessment here, as Prescott will be the key to the team’s success moving forward as he could either propel them to title-contending status or be the reason for the team’s failed expectations.

It’ll be interesting to see if Prescott shows up in this game and what that could mean for the Cowboys moving forward due to the playoff implications if Dallas wins.
