CEC LAHDC Kargil, Councillors Call on Omar Abdullah

SRINAGAR: A delegation from the Kargil Hill Council, affiliated with the National Conference, met Vice President Omar Abdullah in Srinagar today. The delegation, led by Additional General Secretary Qamar Ali Akhoon, included newly elected members of the council.

Omar Abdullah congratulated the newly elected councillors, expressing hope that they would meet the expectations of their voters and dedicate themselves to the welfare of Kargil’s people.

During the meeting, other party leaders, including General Secretary Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi and other senior leaders were also present.

The LAHDC Kargil CEC and councillors delegation received a warm welcome at the party headquarters Nawa e Subah, Srinagar, earlier. The ceremony, presided over by provincial president and Ladakh province in-charge Nasir Aslam Wani Sogami, was attended by senior party leaders.

Provincial President of Ladakh region Qamar Ali Akhoon, District President Kargil Haji Hanifa Jan, CEC of Kargil Council Dr Jaffar Akhoon, and Councillors were welcomed and garlanded with flowers. Party leaders extended their best wishes to the councillors associated with the National Conference, hoping they would live up to voters’ expectations and devote themselves to welfare.

Leaders highlighted the National Conference’s resounding victory in Kargil, despite government obstacles, as a testament to the enduring faith of people in J&K National Conference. Councillors present at the occasion included Agha Syed Mujtaba, Punchak Tashi, Agha Syed Abbas Rizvi, Habibullah Sahib, Zakir Hussain, Ghulam Haider, Manzoor Hussain, Abdul Rahim, and the party’s block presidents.
