Robert Saleh Announces More Impending Changes For The Jets

It was a tough week for the New York Jets.

Their game vs. the Las Vegas Raiders continued to headline their season-long offensive woes, and it was a matter of time before things reached a breaking point.

The Jets have now lost back-to-back games and have failed to score a single touchdown in those matchups, letting down their stellar defense.

The offense has converted just 25% of third downs this season, which is the lowest conversion rate in the league in almost 20 years.

They’ve gone 36 offensive drives, 186 plays, and a full 11 quarters without scoring a single touchdown, which is why the players decided to have a meeting to get on the same page.

Then, following the players-only meeting, the team shockingly announced the release of veteran RB Michael Carter.

Notably, the team will continue to make some personnel moves, according to HC Robert Saleh (via Jets Videos).

Carter had been openly frustrated about his lack of usage this season.

Once a featured back, he logged just 106 yards from scrimmage through nine appearances this season, and he hasn’t played more than 32% of his team’s snaps in any game.

Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook have obviously handled most of the load, although the Jets have failed to establish a consistent rushing attack, which obviously hasn’t done much to help Zach Wilson amid his never-ending struggles.

They have a divisional clash with the Buffalo Bills up next, and given how tense things seem to be right now, they better bring their A-game with them.
