The Dallas Cowboys have one of the best secondaries in the game, at least on paper.

Of course, losing star CB Trevon Diggs for the year was a massive blow to Dan Quinn’s unit, but at least, it has allowed DaRon Bland to step up and establish himself as a part of the league’s elite.

As a matter of fact, PFF points out that he has been leading the league in interceptions (12) since 2022, so maybe it’s time quarterbacks stop testing him.

Notably, Bland is coming off recording his fourth pick-six of the season.

He jumped right in front of a Bryce Young pass and went off to the races for an easy score in his team’s 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Now, he’s tied with Eagles’ Eric Allen (1993), Chiefs’ Jim Kearney (1972), and Oilers’ Ken Houston (1971) for the most pick-sixes in a single season in NFL history.

Needless to say, he’s now aiming to make even more history and break the record.

The Cowboys have been up and down this season, but even in their struggles, Bland has been one of their brightest spots.

Losing their best cornerback for the season was supposed to set them back, but it’s been a bit of a blessing in disguise for Mike McCarthy.

Needless to say, they would much rather have them both on the field at the same time, but it’s nice to know that they have someone who’s been able to step up when his team was in desperate need of a ball-hawk.
