These prices have increased by about 0.5% to 1.1% since the last price change.

This is the second price increase for Model S, Model X and Model Y vehicles since April 19, when Tesla last cut prices on some of its vehicles in the United States. The price of its cheapest car, the Model 3, has not changed since a rate hike in early May.

Since January, Tesla has slashed prices globally, including six in the United States, as it seeks to boost sales. Chief Executive Elon Musk has said the company is willing to sacrifice profit margins for volume, but also wants to push prices as high as possible.

Even after Thursday’s price hike, the base models of the S and X cars are still down 16% and 19%, respectively, in the U.S. compared with the start of the year, while the Model Y’s long-range version is about 23% cheaper.

The Model S now sells for $88,490, while the Model X has a list price of $98,490. Performance versions of both models are now worth $108,490. Prices for the Model Y, its long-range, and performance variants are $47,490, $50,490, and $54,490, respectively.

Separately, Tesla said in a news release that its Japanese subsidiary began taking orders in the country on Friday for its flagship sedan, the Model S, and its sport utility vehicle, the Model X.
