J.J. Watt Has Ultimate Praise For Record-Setting NFL WR

How many times have we watched a player single-handedly leave a mark in the NFL despite playing on a bad team?

More often than not, those guys don’t get the praise and recognition they deserve for their outstanding play because of their team’s struggles — unless they’re Calvin Johnson.

That might as well be the case with Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Mike Evans, who recently posted his 10th consecutive season with at least 1,000 receiving yards.

The 30-year-old has never failed to reach this figure since he entered the league in 2014.

More impressively, he’s done it despite the Buccaneers’ revolving door at the QB position, with Josh McCown, Mike Glennon, Jameis Winston, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tom Brady, and now Baker Mayfield.

Needless to say, other than Brady, those names aren’t exactly impressive.

That’s why former defensive star J.J. Watt went out of his way to congratulate the Texas A&M product on this huge milestone, calling him a Hall of Famer in his latest appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show” (via NFL on ESPN).

The Bucs failed to reach a contract extension agreement with him earlier in the offseason, and he’s made it loud and clear that he won’t settle for anything less than his actual market value.

Evans stated that he wants to finish his career with the Bucs, and the team simply cannot afford to watch their greatest pass-catcher ever just walk away, as he’s been the only bright spot in their passing game throughout the course of the past decade or so.
