The Cleveland Browns have impressed many people across the nation by continuing to find ways to win games despite dealing with adversity.

Even after losing star running back Nick Chubb and quarterback Deshaun Watson for the season, they have battled to a 9-5 record, and while their wins haven’t been pretty, they have been gritty.

This team has shown plenty of toughness and resiliency, especially since their adversity hasn’t been limited to injuries or health issues on the field.

Earlier this season, tight end David Njoku suffered severe burns at his home, and he said per Inside the NFL that it made him feel more grateful while making his next game feel like an exciting event for him.

Njoku reportedly suffered burns on his face and arms due to a backyard fire pit incident, and he said that he should’ve been rendered blind as a result.

But he still managed to play that week against the Baltimore Ravens, and he caught six passes for 46 yards in that contest.

Njoku, a former first-round draft pick, has played each of his seven seasons in Cleveland, and he has put forth a career-best effort this year, as he has already established career-highs in receiving yards (704) and touchdowns (five).

While Cleveland ranks poorly in passing yards and passing touchdowns, Njoku has combined with star wide receiver Amari Cooper to give the Browns a very solid duo in their air attack.

They rank fifth in the AFC, and it looks like they’re on their way to only their third playoff appearance since beginning play in 1999.
