The Baltimore Ravens put the NFL on notice in Week 16 when they marched on the road and dismantled the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.

Christmas Day was a tough one for 49ers fans as they had to watch their favorite team play catch up against a Ravens squad who looked tired of being called the second-best team in the league.

Baltimore fell behind early after Lamar Jackson was called for a safety, but the team quickly bounced back to take the lead and never looked back.

Jackson had a solid day as both a passer and runner, and the win might have also cemented his case for this season’s MVP award.

Brock Purdy was generating plenty of buzz recently, but after his turnover-filled performance Jackson appears to be the frontrunner now.

Although Jackson still considers the Ravens underdogs because they haven’t won anything yet, Shannon Sharpe isn’t buying it via the Nightcap YouTube account.

As a former player, Sharpe recalled his time with the Denver Broncos and how they would publicly say similar things to what Jackson said.

However, he later reveals that behind the scenes they were confident they would win and that’s what Sharpe believes Jackson is doing.

Chad Ochocinco in the clip admits he wished players were more transparent and confident, but players today seem to err on the side of humility.

Fortunately for Jackson, the mindset seems to be working as Baltimore continues to churn out impressive wins and now look like the clear favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII.
