Stat Shows How Impressive Jordan Love Has Been This Season

It’s the dawn of a new era for the Green Bay Packers.

There was plenty of skepticism at Lambeau Field — and rightfully so — about the post-Aaron Rodgers era.

But Matt LaFleur’s squad has proven that it’s all good in the tundra, and they have a quarterback for the future.

But it’s not just Jordan Love.

While he has been quite impressive in his first season as a full starter, his receiving corps has also stepped up despite their apparent lack of experience.

That was made quite evident by a stat shared by NFL GameDay on Twitter, which points out that 31 of Love’s 32 touchdown passes were received by a player in either his first or second year in the league.

That’s the most by any team in a single season in the common draft era, which is since 1967.

The Packers had given Rodgers some promising wideouts in his final year with the team.

Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs looked like potential stars in the making, but the chemistry just wasn’t there yet, and Rodgers even threw them under the bus a couple of times throughout the course of the season.

Now, the young guys are all on the same page and on the same timeline.

When healthy, Watson proved to be an All-Pro-caliber wideout and his chemistry with Love was off the charts.

And while he still needs to find ways to stay on the field, he could be special for years to come, and there are plenty of reasons to be excited about this team.
